Following the announcement of the Apple Watch Series 9, Apple also launched the new Watch Ultra 2. It is a rugged option for those who prefer to take their smartwatch with them to do various kinds of extreme outdoor activities. It features a number of upgrades over the previous iteration, with the same long battery life, durable design, and even improved health features.
According to Apple, the Watch Ultra 2 has been built for the extremes, able to withstand usage across a large range of altitudes – from 500m below sea level and up to 9,000m high. And all that while boasting a large display that is brighter than ever, a brand new S9 SiP chip, on-device Siri, 36 hours of battery life and watchOS 10.
With watchOS 10, it offers new watch faces, automatic Night Mode with the ambient light sensor, an updated Compass app, new topographic maps via Apple Maps, extra mental health support group, and a lot more.
The Watch Ultra 2 is available only in 49mm, is completely carbon neutral, and according to Apple, contains over 30 percent recycled content. It will be out in various color options no matter what loop band you choose, and pricing will start at $799 in the US but around Php 54,990 here in the Philippines.
