Is there room for yet another Android-powered mid-range smartphone in the 15k price range? China-based smartphone maker Vivo seems to think so. In India, the company has just announced a new model in its now-extended V5 series of handsets. It’s called the Vivo V5s, and it’s a dead ringer for the original Vivo V5, except it has a better audio-visual experience and more internal storage available. The Vivo V5s boasts what Vivo calls a 20MP Moonlight Selfie camera, which is coupled with a secondary 8MP front-facing camera for wide-angle group selfies. And it comes with a Hi-Fi audio chip built right in, for that extra immersive music listening experience. It hasn’t been announced outside of India yet, but over there, it’s already available for pre-order, to be released on May 6th. It’s priced 18,990 rupees or around 14,000 Pesos–so right in the middle of the V5 Plus and V5 Lite. Read on for a quick specs list.
