There’s a lot to love about the newly-launched Samsung Galaxy S8. That edge-to-edge Infinity Display looks one-of-a-kind and the overall specs pretty much give any currently available smartphone a run for their money. So it’s no surprise that local carrier Globe is already planning to get in on all the forthcoming Galaxy S8 action.
Globe has announced that it will start taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S8 beginning on April 17. We assume that this also means they will start taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S8+ on the same day. The biggest difference between the two, in case you need a reminder, is screen size: the Galaxy S8 is a 5.8-incher while the Galaxy S8+ is a 6.2-incher.
There aren’t any real details yet regarding the Globe pre-order for the Galaxy S8, but one could guess that they might follow last year’s pre-order mechanics, where you would need to give a downpayment of Php 2,000, and you’ll receive some freebies along with the phone itself. These freebies might include the new Samsung Gear VR. But again, Globe hasn’t shared any real details yet. We’ll have to wait for Globe’s next announcement to know how they really plan to do their Galaxy S8 rollout.SOURCE
